School of Nursing Uniform Policy
Students must maintain a professional appearance in the lab, when preparing for clinical, and in all clinical settings. This means wearing the BScN uniform or clothing that is appropriate to the setting and/or to agency policy. This policy is intended to ensure students are easily identified, are professional, safe, and do not place patients at risk. It is not intended to restrict dress. If your attire is unacceptable, the clinical teacher or the placement personnel may ask you to leave the clinical area, and this will be documented as an absence in your student records. Use of personal electronic devices is not permitted in the lab or clinical setting.
(See Appropriate Use of Electronic Devices Policy).
