"As a student at the Lakehead University Orillia Campus, I really enjoy how closely the students have bonded with each other as well as how close the students are with our professors.

I chose to study at Lakehead because I have always wanted to be a teacher and Lakehead offered a joint science and arts degree which would put me ahead of others in my field once I graduated. I chose the Orillia campus because we got to be the charter class and be on the front lines of making history.

The availability and quality of our professors sets Lakehead apart. The professors truly want to see you succeed. Also the fact that Lakehead offers a joint degree is very beneficial.

My most memorable moment so far was in our first year. LUSU threw a luau at Caddy's. So while there was frost on the ground, we all dressed up in our floral dresses and flip flops, sang karaoke and had a blast.
When I'm not studying, I mainly just chill with people and watch movies. Other than that, I enjoy reading and doing whatever crazy things we dream up.

If you are thinking of Lakehead for your post-secondary education just remember Lakehead Orillia treats you as though you are an actual individual rather than just another person paying tuition. You truly feel welcomed here."
