The Faculty of Business Administration offers two degree programs for applicable business college graduates. The Bachelor of Business Administration is designed for those who consider themselves generalists and wish to complete their degree in one year. The Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree is designed for those who wish to specialize, are prepared to invest in an additional year of education, and can meet the more demanding regiments of an honours program. This program can normally be completed in two years.

Teaching methodology in the Faculty of Business Administration includes case studies, computer games and simulations, reading seminars, group project work, role-playing and traditional test and lecture methods.  Students are encouraged to join business related campus clubs.

 
Multilateral Pathways (General Transfer Agreements):

Bachelor of Administration:

Graduates from a 3-year diploma program in Business Administration from an Ontario college, with a minimum 70% cumulative average in core business courses, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Bachelor of Administration program.

Graduates of the following College Business Programs must complete a specified college transfer program: Accounting, Human Resources Management, Marketing, General Business and International Business. Graduates from these particular majors are not required to complete make-up courses prior to the start of the program. Other diplomas will be considered on an individual basis.

The program can be completed in 8 months (September to April). 

Honours Bachelor of Commerce:

Graduates from a 3-year diploma program in 
Business Administration from an Ontario college, with a minimum 75% cumulative average in core business courses, may be considered for admission into the third year of the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program.

It is possible to complete the Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree requirements in as little as two full academic years. To be considered for the Honours Bachelor of Commerce program, applicants must have the following courses in their background:

Two semesters of:

  • Accounting (Financial* and Managerial)
  • Communications (Business Writing and Presentation) 
  • Economics (Micro* & Macro*) 
  • Computing & Information Systems I* & II
  • Corporate Finance (not personal or financial accounting)
  • Marketing
  • Statistics*
One Semester of
  • Administration/Management*
  • Human Resources Management/Industrial Relations
  • Production/Operations Management

*If you are missing this course, you are required to successfully complete it prior to the start of the program in September.
