Admission & Application Information for High School Students taking Advanced Placement Courses (AP)

Transfer Credit Eligibility:
Advanced Placement courses and examinations may be used to determine admissibility and the granting of credit or exemption. If you have achieved a minimum grade of 4 on certain advanced placement exams, you may be eligible to receive university credit. Please note that Engineering programs are not eligible for AP transfer credit consideration.
To be considered for transfer credit, you must have the College Board send your results directly to Lakehead University as soon as they are available.

How to Apply:
The Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) processes and distributes applications for all universities within Ontario for individual universities to assess. Where you are currently studying or have studied in the past will dictate which application you will use.
Ontario Secondary School Applicants
If you are taking courses during the day at an Ontario Secondary School (this includes students returning for second semester and graduated students returning to upgrade one or more courses)
---> Apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre on the 101 Application Form
To apply, your Guidance Office will provide you with an Access Code letter containing information required to apply online (school number, student number and PIN). Please see your Guidance Office for more information regarding your Access Code letter.
Ontario Secondary School Graduates & Out-of-Province Applicants
If you have graduated with an Ontario Secondary School Diploma and have not attended any post-secondary institution since graduating or if you have studied or are currently studying in a high school outside of Ontario
---> Apply through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre on the 105 Application Form
Required Documentation:
If you have taken Advanced Placement exams, your official results must be sent directly to Enrolment Services - Undergraduate Admissions at Lakehead University. The OUAC Application provides you with an indicator to alert us that more documentation is forthcoming.
