First Year at a Glance

As a first year student you will be required to take courses in group dynamics, foundations of outdoor recreation, land relations, and outdoor skills and theory. Additionally you will take an English course focusing on professional writing, a course within the Humanities or Social Sciences and two electives. 

This breadth of study will expose you to various topics and subject matter that will enhance your ability to interact with people, conduct research and communicate effectively.

  • Outdoor Leadership
  • Programming
  • A two-week expedition course
