Dr. Hanna Wickstrom is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Education at the Lakehead Orillia campus. She has a PhD in Developmental Psychology and Education from the University of Toronto, and a Master's in Child Study and Education from the Dr. Eric Jackman Institute of Child Study, at the University of Toronto. Her SSHRC-funded research focuses on early years education, and currently addresses how educators support critical foundational academic skills through the integration of teacher-facilitated play and direct instruction. Hanna is also an experienced classroom teacher, specializing in early years and primary education. She has worked in public education for over a decade, and is currently an Occasional Teacher for the Simcoe County District School Board.
