On April 15, they will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and commit to linking the K-12 and post-secondary education systems for international students in Simcoe County. A signing event will take place at the SCDSB Education Centre from 10 – 11:30 a.m. |

As a paleo-ecologist, Pendea’s research helps to solve questions about how environmental change has affected humans historically. By understanding the effects of carbon on climates of the past, Pendea believes his research will help other scientists make more accurate environmental predictions for the future. |

Dr. Lew Christopher, Director of Lakehead’s Biorefining Research Institute, is receiving $59,539 for his work into enabling advanced, high-quality research in Forest Biorefining. |

The Open House takes place from Monday, March 14 to Friday, March 18 and gives prospective students a chance to be a Lakehead student for the day. They can sit in on classes, meet professors and students, and enjoy guided tours of the campus facilities. |
