Jul 23	New Forensic Summer Camp for Budding Crime Scene Investigators (Thunder Bay) Lakehead's Department of Anthropology has teamed up with Superior Science to offer grade 5-9 children the chance to become crime scene investigators (CSI's) at a hands-on forensic camp. During these one-week camps, young investigative minds apply real forensic techniques, such as fingerprinting, DNA analysis, forensic odontology, ballistics and forensic entomology to solve age-appropriate crime scenes.

This year's inter-collegiate challenge required civil engineering students from 47 American and three Canadian universities, as well as a Chinese and Mexican university to design, fabricate and construct a steel bridge.

May 29	Lakehead University Announces Founding Dean of Law (Thunder Bay) Harvard educated. Canadian born. Lakehead University is pleased to introduce its Founding Dean of Law, Lee Stuesser. Born and raised in northern Saskatchewan, Stuesser is currently working as a professor and administrator at Australia's Bond University, where he has been since 2008. Before that, he was a Law Professor with the University of Manitoba for more than 20 years and he has also taught at the University of Ottawa and Royal Roads University.

This strategic approach will increase our knowledge of the social and ecological systems that support the vulnerable ecosystems of Lake Superior.
