Amanda Sundell
Amanda Sundell has taught Indigenous Students at Oshki Pimache O Win, The Wenjack Education Institute in a variety of programs including Nursing, Business and Social Work. She began teaching Indigenous Communities and Colonization at Confederation College and became a key person to build Indigenous Learning Outcomes in courses along several curriculums.
Amanda has worked with provincial organizations such as Feed Ontario to bridge the gap for Indigenous students and fund research for food insecurity in northern communities. This created many initiatives that provided students leadership opportunities in their communities and helped them create a resource network that helped combat high food costs, boil water initiatives as well as soil pollution.
Amanda graduated with a Master of Business Management specializing in Innovative Leadership from University of Fredericton as well as a Master of Arts in Sociology from Lakehead University. Amanda is a Canadian with ancestors from England, Ireland and Mi'kmaq (non-status). She is delighted to work with Indigenous students from several communities as they transition into a university education.
