My main focus in our department is as an instructor with an interest in cognition and neuroscience. My
teaching reflects a strong focus on critical thinking and engaging students as well as training them to
become better scientific thinkers. I have also previously worked in clinical settings for over ten years
including employment at the former Lakehead Psychiatric Hospital, Thunder Bay Correctional Centre,
and The Sudbury Algoma Hospital. I enjoy applying my previous clinical and real-life experiences into my
lecture presentations. I teach courses in:
Introductory Psychology (PSYC 1100)
History of Psychology (PSYC 4611)
Foundations of Cognition 1 (PSYC 2014)
Principles of Psychopharmacology/Behaviour and Drugs (PSYC 3114/PSYC 3115)
Social Psychology (PSYC 2015)
