Close relationships powerfully influence our health and well-being. My research bridges relationship and sexuality science to identify key factors that shape the formation and maintenance of satisfying romantic relationships. In particular, I am interested in how people experience and navigate discrepancies in their relationships by examining their motivations, perceptions, and behaviour. I draw on a range of theories and methods in social psychology to answer fundamental questions about how individuals fulfill their relational needs.
