Lisa Harris

Lisa Harris is the Manager of Niijii Indigenous Mentorship Outreach and Recruitment at Lakehead University. She has guided and grown the Niijii Indigenous Mentorship Program (formerly Aboriginal Mentorship Program) since its inception in 2013. Lisa has expertise in removing barriers to post-secondary education for Indigenous youth, decolonizing the post-secondary initiation experience and Indigenizing STEM curriculum. She is of mixed ancestry with Osage Sioux and Anishinaabe heritage.  She has an HBSc in Environmental Science and a Master of Environmental Studies (MES). The best part of her job is working with incredibly bright and talented youth as they forge their educational and professional pathways forward.
