Research Interests:

I’m an archaeologist with an interest in the cultural landscapes, submerged landscapes, and environmental past of northern North America. Since 2005, I have also been developing new ways of reconstructing paleodietary changes in this region and elsewhere through the analysis of food residue preserved on ancient cultural objects. I am also developing the potential of paleolimnology to aid in the reclamation of Indigenous cultural landscapes in northern (subarctic/boreal) Canada.
