Global ME Info Session (In-Person)

If you’re considering an exchange during your undergraduate degree but you want more information, this is the place for you! This Global ME Info Session will detail many different parts of the exchange process, including: eligibility requirements, destinations, different exchange options (dual degree, semester exchange, or summer mobility), financial aid, preparing for an exchange, the Global ME application process, and much more!

Co-op Work Permit Workshop

Have you recently been accepted into a co-op work term for Spring 2026? If so, you will require a co-op work permit to complete this work in Canada. This is separate from your study permit. If you don't already have one, we recommend applying online right away. Work permit processing is very delayed in Canada so please apply early. You can join this workshop to go over the online application with your International Student Advisor (RCIC).

Lakehead International is excited to meet you at our International Student Welcome Day!

Start your Lakehead journey off right! Connect with other international students and the ISS (International Student Services) Team, discover what campus has available for you, and embrace the Canadian way with fun activities! This is a mandatory event, all new students should plan to attend Welcome Day.

Global Runway

Walk the red carpet and share your culture on our Global Runway! Whether you wear traditional attire or something that represents your home country, we want you to showcase your culture. We invite all students, staff, and faculty to dress in their traditional attire on November 21 and come strut their cultural couture down our red-carpeted runway. Join us to cheer on our culture and diversity. Coffee and cake will be served after the show.
