Lakehead University Library launching Omni on December 12

The library's new academic search tool, Omni, is officially launching on December 12. Omni will be replacing both the library’s classic catalogue and Search-it-All. Omni streamlines the process of requesting materials from 13 other University Libraries, changing the way that users can access and borrow resources. The library is also excited to announce a number of user-centered policy changes, such as unlimited renewals and extended loan periods.

Introducing Omni: Lakehead University Library introduces a new academic search tool

Lakehead University Library is excited to announce that on December 10, the library is launching a new academic-search tool called Omni.

Omni will significantly change how all members of the Lakehead community discover and access resources for teaching, learning, and research. Omni provides an improved search experience that leverages new technologies to browse vast collections of academic and high-quality materials. Omni will also bring about many user-friendly changes to the library's borrowing policies.
