Need some fuel to start your day? You're invited to Breakfast Bar! Happening every Thursday from 9 am - 11 am, drop by to make your own breakfast, learn some low-cost and nutritious breakfast recipes and cost-saving strategies, and connect with peers. We will occasionally have special guests present to share information about timely topics. Breakfast will include toast and yogurt, both with a variety of toppings that will rotate each week. On occasion, we'll also have special feature items for you to try!

Calling all Education Students! Your teaching placements are just around the corner, and we know you are feeling all the things (excitement, nerves, maybe even imposter syndrome). That’s why Student Health & Wellness has come up with a Take10 event designed just for you!

Activities you can expect to support, de-stress, and energize you before placement:

  • Create your own Placement Survival Kit 

  • Paint your own affirmation cards

  • Mindful colouring station

Feeling burnt out? Ready to hit pause and finally relax? Come chill out with Student Health & Wellness at Snoozefest, the coziest Take10 Event of the semester! 

We’re bringing you the ultimate stress-free zone, packed with everything you need to unwind:

  • Free calming teas

  • Sleep resources and supports

  • Build your own sleep kits and mindfulness jars

The myAwards Portal is open!

Annually our myAwards Portal is open from August 15 to October 15 for undergraduate students. This year, Student Awards and Financial Aid is running a contest to "win free textbooks for a semester" (value is $500). Two prizes are up for grabs - one for Orillia and Barrie and one for Thunder Bay!

Step into your Wellness Era with a Swiftie-inspired Take10 event! Join us for 10-minute self-care activities with a Taylor Twist, just in time for the release of her new album, The Life of a Showgirl!

What to expect:

  • "You Need to Calm Down" stress-relief station (colouring, journaling & bracelet-making)

  • Breathwork and mindfulness resources to help you "Breathe It Off"

  • Swiftie playlist (with a focus on her newest studio album, of course!)

Take 10 minutes out of your day to explore what consent really means, beyond just "yes" or "no." This drop-in event is all about building confidence in communication, understanding boundaries, and learning how to support yourself and others.

What you can expect:

  • Learn what consent is (and what it’s not)

  • Reflect on your own boundaries and comfort zones

Our International department invites you to their Global ME Insider Experience event! If you are interested in studying abroad, come and hear the experience of a fellow student! Visit the International website for more information.
