Music
Thunder Bay, Ontario
"As a music student and aspiring performer, I found Lakehead particularly attractive because the professors in the music department are highly active in the musical community and are often part of the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra. Knowing that I’d have this kind of integration with the professional community made Lakehead an easy choice for me.

Program: Kinesiology
Hometown: Beachville, ON
Being from Beachville, ON, I was far from my hometown while I was at university. Despite this, Lakehead became my second home as I met so many great friends and made amazing memories. Not only have I had countless opportunities to get involved on campus and in residence, but the Kinesiology program also has some really exciting events. I have been involved in many clubs and events on campus and was very engaged with residence life through house events.

Constance Lake First Nation
After having two kids I often wondered about returning to school. I wanted to go back to school but was scared I wouldn’t succeed in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program. The Native Nurses Entry Program (NNEP) helped me recognize my strengths and weakness which has given me the courage to reach for my dreams. With the help from NNEP which has helped me prepare for my future education to pursue my BScN degree, my dreams of becoming a nurse are within reach.
