'The Resurgence of the Aboriginal Economy'
Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) President & CEO JP Gladu will walk us
through the evolution and resurgence of a growing Indigenous economy that is driving a
diverse new economic force in Canada today.

He will touch on the rich history of Indigenous entrepreneurs and the need to support an
economic reconciliation that is supportive and inclusive at all levels of government and
business sectors.

There are many success stories to be shared and yet, this short business resurgence is just
the beginning. There is an important need to understand that Indigenous peoples can
retain their cultures and traditions on the road to sustainable prosperity that enriches the
lives of all Canadians.

Mr. Gladu will share his thoughts on where the possibilities are and the importance of realigning
and re-affirming the business relationship between Canada's first entrepreneurs
and business Canada.

Student delegates will join the presidents, rectors and academics for lunch in the Faculty
lounge on Monday June 26th and Tuesday June 27th.

Overview
The overall flow of the day and a half session will have students pitching their business
ideas to other students and working on those businesses in organically formed teams until
they are to pitch to the judges Tuesday afternoon. The teams will be given detailed
instruction on how to complete their business model canvas, how to deliver an effective
pitch and be provided mentorship throughout the entire session.
