Pre-Arrival Housing

Thank you for joining the Lakehead Community! To better facilitate your arrival please indicate which housing option you are pursuing at this time. If you need additional information on housing, please visit our section on housing, read the information below or email international@lakeheadu.ca.

On-Campus Accomodations

Lakehead on-campus residence is our recommended choice for accommodation.
Residence lets you enjoy convenience and safety within a fun and friendly community! Living in Residence makes the adjustment to university life easier. By living on campus, you will make friends more quickly and become familiar with the campus, and all that it has to offer.

You must apply online to residence, and apply early to secure your room. Please visit
the residence website or our housing page for more information.

Off-Campus Housing

If you are interested in renting an apartment, room or house off campus you will need
to search the Thunder Bay rental listing websites. We cannot find off campus housing
for you, you will need to contact the landlords yourself directly. Please be aware that
most landlords require you to sign a one year lease, so please read the legal documents thoroughly before signing them.

Please visit the Lakehead Off-Campus housing page or our housing page for more information.

Homestay

Please note: Homestay placements are normally reserved for English Language students only. Homestay offers students a chance to live with a Canadian family in their home when arriving in Thunder Bay. Homestay spots are very limited so apply early. For more information please visit the Homestay website:
