Course Overload

  • A course overload is any course taken above a full load of 5.0 FCEs in the fall/winter session or 2.0 FCEs in the spring/summer.  In order to take an overload, an English student must have an average over 70% and must get permission from both the Chair of the Department and the Dean of Social Sciences and Humanities.
  • Overload registration is now completed online through MyInfo. Look for the Review/View Status of My Special Permission for Courses located under the Course Registration tab.  To apply for an overload you must complete this form electronically. This request goes electronically to the Chair of the Department(s) for review and approval and will then go to the Dean for final approval. You can check the status of your request online as well.
