Northern and Remote Health and Healthcare

Through a social justice and equity perspective the course is designed to explore health and healthcare in northern and remote Canada. Focusing on issues in public and population health and drawing on both Canadian and international statistics, texts, audio and visual resources students will reflect on and develop an understanding of the impact of Federal, Provincial and Territorial Acts, Policies and Politics on the determinants of health in northern and remote communities
