Students will be introduced to issues in Indigenous/Aboriginal Health, with a particular focus in the Canadian geography. Students will develop an understanding of the impacts of colonization and the social determinants on the overall health and illness of Indigenous peoples. A key component is reflection on the significance of decolonizing approaches to research and practice, cultural awareness and development of skills to provide culturally safe care
