Previous Teaching/Work:
Dr. A. Ernest Epp specialized in teaching Canadian and Environmental History. He continues research and community advisement in these areas.
Research Interests:
Dr. Epp's current research focuses on the development of social policy in Canada, and he is writing a book on how this development has changed the Canadian federal system of government. His publications include the edited collections From Rivalry to Unity: A History of Thunder Bay (Thunder Bay Historical Museum Society, 1995; 2008) and The North American Fur Trade: Pivotal Interpretations (Canadian Scholars Press, 1995).
Dr. Epp served as Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay-Nipigon between 1984 and 1988.
