As part of Nutrition Month and ITSTARTS week, Student Health and Wellness invites you to Culinary Connections: Exploring Diversity Through Food. Food plays an integral role in how we connect with culture and with one another! Drop by Alumni Commons to sample some ingredients from different cultures and learn how to prepare them. Who knows, you might just find a new favourite food! We will also have information about where you can buy the ingredients, as well as information about local restaurants from diverse cultures.
Friday, March 14th is World Sleep Day! But we're celebrating a couple of days early so we don't interfere with your big World Sleep Day plans (sleeping, presumably).
Drop by the blanket fort in Simcoe Hall (you can't miss it) from 1:30-3:30pm for a real snooze-a-palooza. There will be many snore-worthy activities and prizes to be won! Pajamas are encouraged (and may just get you extra chances to win prizes!)
Join The Office of Indigenous Initiatives and Student Health and Wellness for a Lunch and Learn about Wild Rice! Wild rice, known as "manoomin" in the Anishinaabe language is a traditional food in Anishinaabe culture with spiritual and economic significance to many communities. It is also extremely versatile!
For today's lunch and learn, we will be enjoying Wild Rice and Chicken soup.
