Come Prepared with Questions!
To get the most out of your experience at the Open House, come prepared with some questions that you want to ask your future professors. We've come up with a few topics for you to consider that will help spark meaningful conversations.
Program Exploration |
Choosing a program or major can be difficult. Speak to faculty about subjects that excite you or areas of interest that you'd like to explore further. And, be sure to ask about your ability to customize your degree! |
Research Opportunities |
You will want to ensure that your university experience allows you to engage in opportunities to further explore your interests. Ask questions about your ability to engage in research at the undergraduate level to expand upon your skillset. |
Application and Admission Requirements |
Be sure to clarify admission requirements for your program(s) of interest. Application deadlines may also vary by program, so it's important that you are aware of key dates and deadlines. |
Scholarships and Bursaries |
Paying for post-secondary education can be expensive! Be sure to ask questions about funds available and how common it is for students to receive financial aid. |
Co-op & Career Services |
Practical experiences, such as co-op, internships or experiential learning, will help you enter into a career following graduation. Ask questions about these types of experiences and what is available in your program. |
Campus Community & Student Life |
Ask faculty, staff and students about the campus community and student life. University is more than just academics. It's important to learn about the community you will be joining, and the supports, resources, and amenities available on campus. |
