safeTALK is an in-person workshop to build skills in suicide prevention. Participants will learn how to recognize and engage with someone thinking about suicide, overcome attitudes that act as barriers to help, talk openly about suicide and connect with intervention resources for further support.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion, registration is required.

*The tipi raising at Lakehead started in 2017 in response to Indigenous students requesting a visible space to honour their presence and to highlight Indigenous representation on campus. With the support of community, it remains an important space for gatherings and cultural connection for students, staff and faculty from June to October.
