Welcome to Lakehead University’s 2023-2024 Academic Calendar

The online Academic Calendar is an official University document. It is a comprehensive guide that contains general information such as important dates, admission requirements and descriptions of all programs and courses offered at Lakehead.

It also contains pertinent information about all academic policies and regulations. This includes general regulations that apply to all students as well as specific regulations pertaining to the specific program in which a student is enroled.

It is the responsibility of each student registered at Lakehead University to be familiar with, and comply with all the terms, requirements, regulations, policies and conditions in the Lakehead University Academic Calendar. This includes, but is not limited to, Academic Program Requirements, Academic Schedule of Dates, University and Faculty/School Policies and Regulations and the Fees and Refund Policies and Schedules.

The University used best efforts, insofar as was reasonably possible, to confirm the accuracy of this Calendar at the time it was published. However, the University reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without notice, to revise or alter its rules, regulations and policies, as well as programs and course requirements, including but not limited to cancelling them, in which case this Calendar may no longer be accurate. It is understood and agreed that the University will not be in any way liable or legally responsible for such inaccuracies.

Effective Date of the Academic Calendar:

This version of the Calendar contains new and revised programs and courses approved by the Senate of Lakehead University, up to and including the May 15, 2023 meeting, the final Senate meeting before the 2023-2024 academic year.

The Summary of New Changes for the 2023-2024 Academic Calendar will summarize updates to this online Calendar. Links to several previous years' calendars and updates are available under the left-hand menu "Previous Calendars".
