March is Nutrition Month! Join Student Health and Wellness and have a SOUP-er day.
We will have events all month long to support healthy eating and food security, so be sure to check out our calendar for other Nutrition Month events.

Get ready to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day responsibly! Join Student Health & Wellness for Don’t Push Your Luck, an interactive and informative event focused on helping students make safer choices while enjoying the festivities.
St. Patrick’s Day celebrations often involve alcohol, and this event is all about equipping you with the knowledge and strategies to stay safe, look out for your friends, and still have a great time. Whether you plan to go out, stay in, attend a party, or simply want to learn more about harm reduction, this session will provide practical tools and resources you can use right away.

Need some fuel to start your day? You're invited to Breakfast Bar! Happening every Thursday from 9am - 11am, drop by to make your own breakfast, learn some low-cost and nutritious breakfast recipes and cost-saving strategies, and connect with peers. We will occasionally have special guests present to share information about timely topics.
Breakfast will include toast and yogurt, both with a variety of toppings that will rotate each week. On occasion, we'll also have special feature items for you to try!
This program is generously funded by Alumni and Friends through Lakehead's Food Security Committee.
Offered in partnership by Student Health and Wellness, LUSU, and Lakehead International.

As part of Nutrition Month, join Student Health & Wellness for Healthy School Lunches! This event will focus on how to create healthy, balanced, and easy lunches to bring with you to your practicum or placement.
Long school days require steady energy, focus, and preparation, and what you pack for lunch can make a big difference. We’ll share practical strategies for meal planning on a student budget, time-saving prep tips for busy weeks, and ideas for portable lunches that are classroom-friendly and easy to pack. Stop by to gain practical tools, simple recipes, and helpful resources to make packing nutritious lunches stress-free and sustainable. Whether you're heading to placement soon or looking to improve your current routine, this event will help you feel prepared, confident, and fueled for success.

As Reading Week approaches, a great way to prioritize your self-care is by cuddling up with a new book! Join Student Health and Wellness in the HP Library Commons to go on a blind date with a book and prioritize yourself this reading week and beyond. We will have books wrapped up and available for you to take, as well as wrapping paper and markers for you to bring your own books and participate in a book swap.
This event was originally scheduled for Tuesday Feb 9th, but had been rescheduled to Friday Feb 13th from 10am - 12pm due to classes at HP switching to zoom.
Open to students, faculty, and staff.
