Often friends, roommates, student leaders or classmates will be the first ones to notice a concerning behaviour which may indicate a peer is having difficulty and may need help. The workshop will:
- Outline the various levels of distress and the resources you can provide for someone in each level of distress
- Explore some of the key guidelines on how to recognize, respond and refer someone in distress;
- Cover available supports in various areas, both on and off-campus including Counselling and Wellness, Academic Services, Disability Services, Legal and Conduct, and Community Supports.
Registration required. Students who attend will be able to add it to their CCR.
