Join Student Health and Wellness' Peer Wellness Educators for a virtual viewing of the 2021 Au Contraire Film Festival in partnership with Bell Let's Talk Day (ACFF). Through film, ACFF engages audiences on the topic of mental health and empowers viewers to tell their own stories and access resources.

This year's films:

Hum
Director: Nathan Fagan

Diagnosed at 19 years old with schizoaffective disorder, Kevin Nolan began writing music to regain some of the freedom he’d lost due to his illness. ‘Hum’ is an intimate and music-fueled tour of Kevin’s world.

Blue Dog
Directors: Fanny Liatard, Jérémy Trouilh

Émile is afraid of the world. He no longer goes outside and paints everything blue. One night, his son Yoan encounters Soraya, a teenage fan of Tamil dance. She will help him find the right colour.

 Fractured
Animator: Jocie Juritz
Exploring the irrationality of psychological struggles, ‘Fractured’ reveals a physical manifestation of emotional difficulties.
 The Date
Director: Derreck Roemer

Rachel and Sami hit it off it on Tinder and agree to meet for a first date. As the rapport builds, Sami decides to reveal a health secret that he rarely shares, with unforeseen consequences.
