This year's Thrive Kits were funded by the Thunder Bay Community Foundation and are available to Lakehead students, staff and faculty.

Climate Emotions Circle

This workshop is open to all students looking for a safe space to collectively recognize, embrace, explore, and process our complex feelings related to climate change. How can our feelings of fear, anger, powerlessness, and anxiety be recognized and affirmed in ways that translate into possibility, community, and motivation?

Why do I feel like an Imposter? Challenging Imposter Syndrome for Graduate Students

Music Therapy

Join Kaelyn, accredited music therapist and neurologic music therapist, for a unique group finding new ways to destress with music! Come out to experience a bit of what music therapy can do for you and gain some resources for you to try at home. Music therapists can utilize different aspects of music to express all types of emotions, regulate mind and body and even slow heart rate during times of active stressors. Activities will all be done in a low-stakes group environment at whatever participation level you feel comfortable, no "solos" required!

People of all musical backgrounds welcome, from the friend group playlist curator to soon to be professional musicians!

How to Have Difficult Conversations about Mental Health

Wolfie's Wellness Challenge

When you are busy with exams- your health and wellbeing can get put on the back burner but Student Health and Wellness, with the help of Wolfie, is challenging you to find balance during this stressful period.

This event includes online challenges that cover healthy eating and cooking, stress management, sexual health, substance use, physical activity, self-care and rest.

From Dec. 5 to 16, students can participate on Instagram. 

Students who participate by responding to a question, interacting with a quiz or poll, will be entered into a draw for a $50 gift card. There will be a winner for each campus!
