Appointments with a Nurse Practitioner from the Huronia Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic are available at the Lakehead Wellness Centre (500 University Ave, Orillia) or the Huronia Nurse Practitioner-led Clinic (3331 Line 4 North, Oro-Medonte). Depending on the health concern, virtual appointments are also available.

A Nurse Practitioner can help with:

- Physical/medical exams

- Sexual Health, education, STI testing

- Mental Health concerns

- Birth control, PAPs, pregnancy testing

- Gender affirming primary care for trans and non-binary students

- Immunizations

- Chronic health concerns (asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc)

- Cold, sore throat, and flu

- Musculoskeletal injuries

- Skin conditions, warts, and moles treatments

- Third-party medical exams including those for school, insurance, driving, and employment

Naturopathic services are available at Student Health and Wellness for Lakehead students, staff, and faculty, provided by Dr. Tina Tebokkel, ND. These services are fee-based and are not included in Student Health and Wellness fees or covered by provincial or international student health plans. Chiropractors can help with headaches, neck and back pain, sports injuries, foot pain, exercise, physical
rehabilitation, and more.

Fees: The student rate is $60/appointment. Costs are covered by most health benefit plans.
