Spotting the Signs and Supporting Someone Affected by Eating Disorders

As part of Eating Disorders Awareness Week, join us for a 90-minute training delivered by NEDIC (National Eating Disorder Information Centre). This session is designed to help participants understand how eating disorders can develop in post-secondary environments, recognize early signs, respond compassionately, and connect someone to the appropriate supports.
Learning Objectives:
Understand risk factors within post-secondary settings
Recognize early signs of disordered eating
Respond in a supportive and non-judgmental way
Know when and how to refer, using evidence-informed resources
This session is relevant for anyone at Lakehead (students, staff, and employees) who wants to become more informed about eating disorders and how to support someone affected.
