Application Deadlines for the 2027 Cycle
Undergraduate Applications to Winter (January 2027) and Fall (September 2027) will open mid-September.
Lakehead University has three intake periods: Fall (September), Winter (January) and Spring/Summer (May/July).
Note: For most programs, applications will still be accepted after the recommended deadline dates below pending space availability.
Recommended Deadlines to Apply for Winter 2027 (Full Time & Part Time) Admission:
November 2, 2026 (for International Applicants)
December 1, 2026 (for Domestic Applicants)
Recommended Deadlines to Apply for Spring/Summer 2027 Admission:
Two-Year Bachelor of Education Program (Thunder Bay & Orillia): November 2, 2026
Diploma/Degree in Technological Education Program (Thunder Bay & Orillia): November 2, 2026
Spring/Summer Entry (Part Time): November 2, 2025

January 15, 2027 (Ontario High School Applicants)
March 1, 2027 (College Transfer Applicants)
March 1, 2027 (International Applicants)
August 31, 2027 (Domestic Applicants)
*Excludes: Two-Year Bachelor of Education, One-Year Honours Bachelor of Social Work, Year Three of the Honours Bachelor of Social Work and Nursing.
Recommended Deadlines to All Other Undergraduate Programs for Fall 2027 Admission:
Juris Doctor Program: November 2, 2026
One-Year Honours Bachelor of Social Work & Year 3 of Social Work: December 10, 2026
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (3 and 4 year programs): January 15, 2027
Other Important Deadlines:
August 31, 2027 - Deadline to submit a Deferral of Admission request for Fall 2027 (Fall entry only). The deferral request form will open in July.
Please note that we do our best to update the deadline dates webpage as soon as possible. In some instances, it may not be possible to update the website before the application has been closed on the OUAC website or on our internal application. If the application is closed on the OUAC website, it is truly closed for the current cycle. If the program is not listed on our internal application, it is also closed for the current cycle.
