Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) Program - 2017

The Undergraduate Student Research Awards (USRA) are meant to stimulate your interest in research in the natural sciences and engineering. They are also meant to encourage you to undertake graduate studies and pursue a research career in these fields. If you would like to gain work experience that complements your studies these awards can provide you with financial support. Successful students will carry out research over the summer of 2017, under the supervision of a Faculty member who currently holds or will hold an NSERC research grant.  NSERC encourages qualified Aboriginal students to apply for this award.

Minimum Value: $6384
Duration of the Award:  16 consecutive weeks (no breaks) on a full-time basis, between May and August, 2017.
Deadline for Department Recommendations is Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 4:30 pm.

All applicants will be notified of award decisions after the selection process is completed.
