In March, Lakehead Career Services & Co-operative Education will host the inaugural NextStep 2026 School-to-Work Transition Conference in Thunder Bay and in Orillia.

This full-day conference is designed to support students in navigating the transition from academic life into professional environments with clarity, confidence, and practical preparation.

While the conference program will vary slightly at each campus, each event includes keynote speakers, skill-building workshops, and access to essential support for job seeking including a professional photo clinic, on the spot resume review, opportunities to practise interview techniques, food & refreshments, swag for participants and more.
