- It’s your move 100-hour strata challenge – beginning May 15th for employees and students to help promote physical activity over the summer
- Partner with Indigenous Initiatives to support Birch Tree Gardens Afternoons. Every Friday during the summer from 1-4pm to promote mental, physical and spiritual benefits of gardening
- Looking to begin Safe Talk training for employees and students
- Four-hour training so that the participant becomes Suicide Alert
- Recognize and engage with someone who is thinking about suicide
- Overcome attitudes that act as barriers to get help
- Talk openly about suicide
- Connect with intervention resources for further support
- Safe Talk Training does not teach intervention techniques. Safe Talk Training teaches how to connect someone who requires help with someone who has suicide intervention training
- The Security Team is a great resource for suicide awareness and intervention. The purpose of the Safe Talk training is for participants to be more aware of resources and become more comfortable making a warm hand off to the Security Team. They can also bring these principals in any other communities they exist in
