Old Business
Nominations for secretary – no nominations were received. Committee is OK with health and safety continuing to take minutes. The vacancy for the secretary will remain open as a standing item on every agenda. In case worker members feel differently in future.
Management member search still ongoing, have talked to one individual who was not sure if they had interest in joining. Search ongoing.
New Business
Waiting on final members for after hours subcommittee then will begin holding meetings to discuss concerns and try to make the process more uniform and simple.
Brenda will reach out to departments for inspections then pose times to the committee.
Poll will be sent for this semester’s meeting time
Pool safety protocol subcommittee review has Jarret Sylvestre and Joey Miller from this committee. Will be trying to plan meeting soon.
Other Business
Vet school is progressing, and looking to complete CASES portion in the spring/summer. Fumehood line was opened causing fume hoods to alarm due to opening. It has since been capped, but the status is unable to be viewed in network system. The physical alarms will still work on the device, so no concern to their use, but a contractor will be fixing it shortly. Plant is looking into adding network monitoring in the CB for the fume hoods.
ATAC is having some labs on the 3rd and 4th floor converted from computer labs to conventional labs.
Renovation in CB 2029/2030 has one half completed including the fume hood in the space, will be beginning other side’s renovation now.
Orillia training for students needs to be updated and is in process. - Still working on this.
