The Software Developer will develop an admission processing system for the department of computer science. They will coordinate with the graduate coordinator’s office, admission committee, department and other stakeholders in the university and prepare reports and presentations when necessary.

 

Qualifications:

 

Must have an undergraduate computer science degree.

Excellent understanding of client-server technologies.

Excellent problem solving skills.

Minimum 3 years professional programming experience using PL/SQL.

Experience working on Full-Stack projects using Java

High-level of Knowledge of HTTP, REST APIs, OAuth,

Proficiency in writing advanced SQL queries and experience with PostgreSQL

Experience working with Git for version control

Hands-on experience in industrial settings: database systems, high-level programming languages (e.g. C++, Java, Python, PHP).

Experience with Azure/AWS is considered an asset.

Ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to present a portfolio of work including applications similar to admission processing systems.
