Reporting jointly to Student Affairs and Human Resources, this temporary position is tasked to coordinate operational and administrative tasks to support the implementation and compliance to Lakehead University’s Mandatory Covid Vaccination Policy, as well as serving as a resource to the University community regarding COVID compliance policies and procedures. This includes ensuring compliance with the University’s Covid -19 rapid testing and vaccination requirements by all it applies to but specifically for students and employees. The incumbent will address and resolve testing compliance cases, as well as vaccination compliance, and recommending procedures, guidelines, and communication to support this.

 

The position is tasked with reviewing all documents uploaded in Lakehead University’s Mobile Safety app to ensure compliance with the University’s COVID-19 health and safety requirements. Performing and assisting with coordinating/conducting spot checks on campus for valid vaccine passports and identifying and working with University stakeholders to build a team. As well as coordinating operational and administrative aspects of the testing and vaccination compliance processes, including receiving updates regarding testing compliance. Ensuring lists of eligible individuals is updated and shared with testing staff on both campuses will be required.

 

The successful candidate must possess an Undergraduate University Degree in Social Sciences, public health, nursing or other related experience in a public office, school or community health setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

The incumbent must have strong interpersonal skills including comfort and expertise in having difficult conversations and working with vulnerable groups, as well as excellent listening skills.

The successful candidate must have the ability to collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, and summarize data with high attention to detail all while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. The incumbent must have a demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), Access and other data tools to compose policy and procedure documents, including FAQs, template letters, etc.
