Position Available:  Trip Leader (Instructor/Facilitator/Risk Manager)

Date of Posting:  January 31, 2020

Starting Date:  May 7, 2020

Completion Date:  May 30, 2020

Trip Dates: May 19 to May 28/29, 2020

Position Duties: Trip planning, leading a group on an extended cycling trip, supporting field research, instructing various outdoor skills, interpreting natural and cultural features, group facilitation, risk management, logistics, and evaluation of students' knowledge and skills.

Position Qualifications: The candidate must be a university or college graduate. Successful candidates must have excellent communication, planning and instructional skills. Candidates should be exemplary teachers, have sound judgement and safety management skills, and have extensive experience in leading groups extended cycling expeditions. Candidates must have a valid passport, health insurance, and be able to travel to the United States. Preference will be given to individuals with recent field work, current Wilderness First Responder, bicycle repair and maintenance skills, and cycling certification.
