Lakehead University, Photonics Research Group invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow position to work on a project to develop a device for the detection and quantification of trace gases. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out research on assigned projects and take a leading role in the development of the device. The candidate should have a PhD in gas spectroscopy or a related area. Experience in either wavelength modulation spectroscopy (WMS) or Cavity Ring Down Spectroscopy (CRD), as well as programming based on LABVIEW software and knowledge of the operation of instruments, such as lock-in-amplifiers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers, would be an asset.
 
The position is initially for six months, with the possibility of extension for one more year. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications.
