The Nanabijou Childcare Centre is recruiting an Executive Director due to the upcoming retirement of the Centre's founding Executive Director. Located on the beautiful grounds of Lakehead University, the Centre's Vision is: Children learning to live in harmony with the world. Our Mission is that the Centre is a home away from home where a team of dedicated early childhood educators provide a safe, inclusive, healthy, nurturing, learning environment for children and their families. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will lead the Centre in the implementation of the 2016 ? 2019 Strategic Plan which is framed by the cornerstones of Learning, Inclusion, Relationships and Sustainability. 

The successful candidate's qualifications will include: an Early Childhood Education diploma/degree, a minimum of 5 years' experience in the field of Early Childhood Education, knowledge of the Reggio Emilia Approach to Learning, registered membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) and being a certified member of the AECEO. Other qualifications are: knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act, supervisory experience, experience in operationalizing a strategic plan and action plan, effective communication skills, and proven financial knowledge concerning budgets, audits and DSSAB requirements.
