Our best answer: When and where is graduation & convocation?
Graduation occurs twice a year at Lakehead University - once in October, and once in May. If you finish your degree requirements in the fall/winter term, then you would be eligible for a May graduation. If you finish your degree requirements during a spring/summer term, then you would be eligible for an October graduation.
Lakehead University hosts Convocation each year in the spring. Both sets of graduates are invited to attend the Convocation ceremony that takes place in the spring that follows. Normally, 3 ceremonies are hosted in Thunder Bay and 1 ceremony in Orillia towards the end of May/early June. In Thunder Bay, the ceremonies are hosted at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium (1 Paul Shaffer Drive, Thunder Bay, ON). In Orillia, the ceremony is hosted at Rotary Place (100 University Avenue, Orillia, ON).

For Convocation 2017:
If you are a student graduating from the Thunder Bay campus, there are three convocation ceremony times taking place between Friday June 2nd and Saturday June 3rd. All three ceremonies will be taking place at the Thunder Bay Community Auditorium located at 1 Paul Shaffer Dr, Thunder Bay, ON P7B 6C7 and are arranged by Faculties:
Ceremony 1 - Friday June 2nd, 2017 - 2:00 p.m
Guests: Auditorium doors will open at 1:00pm for a 2:00pm ceremony start time.
Students: Arrive by 1:00PM and proceed to the platform card table.
NOTE: Students arriving after 1:30pm will not be accommodated.
Note - all Concurrent Education Students will confer with the Faculty of Education (Saturday afternoon).

Guests: General seating will be available starting at 9:00am for a 10am ceremony start time.
Students: Arrive by 8:00am and proceed to the robing area (Arena 2).
NOTE: Students arriving after 9:15am will not be accommodated.
