Our best answer: How do I apply as an international student?
You can apply online using the Lakehead University Undergraduate Application. After you submit your application, you will receive an Acknowledgement Email that contains your student information portal (e.g. myInfo) login credentials and post application process instructions. Upon receipt of this email, activate your myInfo account.
Some programs (e.g. One-Year Social Work or Two-Year Bachelor of Education) require you to apply via the Ontario Universities’ Application Centre’s Undergrad (105) Application. Just to be safe, you are encouraged to use the OUAC’s Application Selection Tool to ensure that you select the correct application. Once you submit your online application, the OUAC will send us all of your application details.
Upon receiving your application details from the OUAC, you will receive an Acknowledgement Email that contains your student information portal (e.g. myInfo) login credentials and post application process instructions. Upon receipt of this email, activate your myInfo account.
After applying, you are required to submit an official transcript from all of the institutions you have attended (e.g. secondary school, college, universities, language schools, etc.). A transcript is official when it is mailed directly to Lakehead University from the institution. If you are currently in-progress with studies, you can still apply and be considered for a conditional Letter of Acceptance. As grade information becomes available be sure to send us updated transcripts.
All official transcripts and required documentation must be mailed to:

In addition to mailing official copies, you can also upload unofficial copies using the document upload feature called Upload My Application Document(s).
For most programs, it takes approximately 1-2 weeks for an assessment to be made. This is under the assumption that Enrolment Services – Undergraduate Admissions have received all required documents.
