CDVMP Construction and Renovations

December 5, 2025

Construction activities associated with the Collaborative Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Program (CDVMP) continue behind Bora Laskin and in CASES and ATAC. Starting Friday, Dec. 5 to Saturday, Dec. 13, there will be no construction occurring in ATAC.

University Centre Roof Repairs

UPDATE - December 5, 2025

Please be advised that roof work on the University Centre building is ongoing. Please use caution and follow traffic control signs when in the CB Courtyard and Lake Tamblyn patio area. Questions can be directed to Adam White in Physical Plant at adam.white@lakeheadu.ca.

 

November 21, 2025

Work to replace one of the roof sections on the University Centre building is underway. The contractor will be setting up a bin and moving materials through the Centennial Building courtyard. Students, faculty and staff are asked to please follow all traffic control signs or find alternate routes.

Abatement in Braun Building

December 3, 2025

Please be advised that abatement and repair work will be commencing in the Braun Building near BB-1032 & BB-1034 on Thursday, December 4th.  Offices in the area will remain accessible.

Shipping Department Hours & Operations During Christmas Closure

As you know, the University will be closed for two weeks during the Christmas holidays, from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026.

During this period, Shipping Services will be open for acceptance of packages only on the following dates and times. Please note that no deliveries will be made during the two-week closure:

  • Monday, December 22 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 23 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Monday, December 29 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Tuesday, December 30 – 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We ask that you plan accordingly for any perishable orders to ensure timely receipt and avoid spoilage during the closure.
