Lakehead University invites applications for one 3-year limited term appointment in the Department of Computer Science. The position will commence on August 1,2021 at a rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Limited Term Appointment (1 position): Applicants will be expected to teach a range of core computer science courses at the undergraduate level, such as Computer Architecture, Assembly language, Operating Systems, Programming Languages, Computer Network and Distributed Systems, and Artificial Intelligence. This is primarily a teaching focus position but potential to conduct impactful research is expected.
The candidates are expected to actively participate and support the department activities and serve as a liaison between various stakeholders of the program. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related discipline. Prior teaching and post-doctoral experience will be considered as an asset. Experience with experiential learning and online or alternative modes of course delivery is highly desired.
The Department of Computer Science is a fast-growing department with a total of 14 full-time faculty members including one research chair. Our faculty members are involved in various externally funded research programs.
