 Permanent Full Time - Thunder Bay Campus
$23.88 to $29.85 per hour

The successful candidate will provide assistance in the commissioning and maintenance of a variety of audio, video, and control devices in classrooms, meeting rooms and lecture theatres.  Additional responsibilities include supporting the use of video conferencing, web streaming, pre- and post-lecture capture, content distribution and other collaborative technologies for the University's academic, administrative and promotional events. The Multimedia Technician will provide routine maintenance for audio/visual and communication equipment, actively monitor equipment systems, install multimedia and security hardware and assist with the configuration and testing of related software.   

The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education or a combination of education and related experience with the operation and maintenance of multimedia equipment.  Additional qualifications include knowledge and understanding of the operation and maintenance of multimedia and audio/visual equipment used on campus including computer connections to projectors, Creston interfaces and LCD displays, understanding of Windows/Mac operating systems and presentation software, professional audio and sound reinforcement, various video formats and conversion. An excellent multitasker, the ideal candidate has experience advising others on the proper methods of use of various products and specialized equipment. Strong organizational, problem-solving skills and customer service experience is a necessity.

Expected hours of work will be shift work as per Collective Agreement.
