We warmly invite all commuter and international students to join the Commuter & International Student Social! Enjoy light refreshments and a relaxed atmosphere to connect with fellow students who share your experience, along with representatives from various campus departments.

This event will take place while Residence students are moving in, so it’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people and get oriented at your own pace.

Note: Stick around after the social for our Commuter House Meeting. If you’re a commuter student, try to join us for both events and kick off your Orientation on the right foot!

We invite ALL new students to our First ever Wolfie's Warmup (Including Barrie STEM Students). This will be a fun-filled day where you can show your Thunderwolf spirit, get to know other new students, play some interactive games, enjoy some snacks, and make signs before heading over to the soccer fields to support our athletes at our second annual home opener! This is a day you are not going to want to miss! 

We invite ALL new students to join us for The First Howl: Orientation Day! This fun-filled day is all about showing your Thunderwolf spirit, connecting with fellow new students, meeting your future professors, getting a few important tasks checked off your to-do list, and having fun. You won’t want to miss it! Participating in Orientation Day also gives you the chance to earn ballots toward our grand prize draws, and yes—lunch is FREE for all students!

To kick off the first day of classes, we're serving up a FREE brunch for all new and returning students, staff, and faculty! Bring your appetite and let us officially welcome you to our beautiful campus community!

We invite ALL new students to participate in Downtown Adventure! This will give you the opportunity to discover downtown Barrie and all the amazing businesses and services it has to offer! Lakehead has partnered with some amazing businesses that have some pretty cool offers that are only available to students that attend this event! We will all walk to the downtown core together and then you are free to explore on your own, or with a group. 

This is your opportunity to ask the burning questions you have before starting school or before leaving your kids or friends at Lakehead.

Get all moved into your home for the school year checking in at the front of Bartley Residence! Campus tours will be running every hour on the hour from 11:00am to 3:00pm starting at the side of the Bartley Residence by Dan's Diner.

Moving is exhausting, take a break and come check out an awesome block party while we ramp up the excitement around Lake Tamblyn! There will be live music, free samples from various local vendors, reptile show, outdoor games & activities, and more!

Swing on by the Agora and pick up everything you will need including your student card, bus pass, parking pass (if needed), load your meal plan, pick up your orientation kit, learn about your student health plan, and more!
