We invite ALL new students to join us for The First Howl: Orientation Day! This fun-filled day is all about showing your Thunderwolf spirit, connecting with fellow new students, meeting your future professors, getting a few important tasks checked off your to-do list, and having fun. You won’t want to miss it! Participating in Orientation Day also gives you the chance to earn ballots toward our grand prize draws, and yes—lunch is FREE for all students!

Residence students have house meetings—why shouldn’t you? New commuter students, join us at your very own "house meeting" to get tips on winter driving, saving on gas, making friends while living off-campus, and more. Discover the ins and outs of commuting to Orillia!

Note: There's a super fun Commuter Social happening just before this. If you’re a commuter student, try to attend both events and kick off your Orientation on the right foot!

We warmly invite all commuter and international students to join the Commuter & International Student Social! Enjoy light refreshments and a relaxed atmosphere to connect with fellow students who share your experience, along with representatives from various campus departments.

This event will take place while Residence students are moving in, so it’s the perfect opportunity to meet new people and get oriented at your own pace.

Aqua Zumba® combines some of the traditional elements of an aqua class with the upbeat Latin-infused music that Zumba® is famous for. Make a splash with these high- energy aquatic exercises.

This exciting event will welcome over 6,000 new and returning international and domestic students to campus. This year, we’re turning up the volume with a music festival theme featuring a live DJ, live entertainment, and tons of energy! 

We can’t wait to have you join us for this amazing kickoff to the school year!

Come by the Library Courtyard for our annual Library Carnival! Grab a snack and play one of our many games while meeting library staff and learning how the library can help you through your scholarly journey.

Go all in at Residence Life's Monte Carlo Casino Night! Provided is “play money” for you to compete in games with your communities or individually. The games include Poker, Black Jack, Roulette, Horse Races, and so much more! 

At the end of the event there will be a live auction where residence houses can pool their money together to win prizes for their house. Off-campus students will be able to bid on prizes provided by the Student Success Centre.
